An important maintenance characteristic of your pool cue that is often overlooked is selection of a cue tip and use of the best chalk. These two are as important as the pool stick itself. You have a much greater chance of applying English or draw with Master Chalk. Sometimes you have to shoot left or right of center in order to get the cue ball to react favorably. As mentioned earlier, Master Chalk has a far less miss cue ratio then other chalk that is on the market.

When shooting a Masse, you have to shoot down vertically on the shot in order to bend the cue ball around another object ball. There is no way you can perform shots like those with inferior chalk. The more you practice you will develop a sense of awareness or expertise in shooting pool. Observation of accomplished players will offer many tips that will prove invaluable.
